Open Letter to Fleet Operators

Thank you for taking a few minutes to read this letter. I want to briefly outline why Vanguard Trailers are a great choice, and the best value for your company.

Vanguards, while costing a bit more than lower quality trailers, will actually save your company money because of the advanced options that come standard with new Vanguard trailers that lead to lower maintenance costs. Then, there's the increased trade value at the end of the life cycle. I honestly believe that the difference in initial price is quickly recovered with all the advantages that the Vanguard has to offer.

For Example:

• How much will it cost you to refurbish the rear frames when the cheaper trailers begin rusting? Vanguard will go 20+ years.
• What will your company image be running rusty looking trailers?
• How much will a traffic ticket cost or how much will it cost you to have a driver stopped and a load delayed because a non L.E.D. taillight is out?  (and do you really want the police to stop one of your vehicles and then start inspecting deeper looking for problems?)
• How much will it cost you to have an axle burn up because a driver did not check the hub oil before pulling out? (Vanguard 5 year synthetic grease warranty)
• Will you ever lose a load or driver time because a load couldn’t fit into a 98” width trailer? Vanguard 100” inside width.
• What will the difference in trade value be between some rusted 6 year old vans vs. the Vanguards when you go to sell?  $500, $1,000, 2,000????

Vanguard Makes Monetary Sense:

Call us today for an extermely competitive quote on a premium Vanguard trailer. Many times you'll find that our nationwide fleet pricing is actually lower than what others are charging for lower quality trailers.

But think about this. Even if a Vanguard does end up costing, say, $1,000 more than the low-end trailer...for all the maintenance savings of owning a Vanguard trailer, it is money well spent. And after all, based on that $1,000 difference, the cost of ownership over a 10 year period (in accordance with the Automotive Industry "Ten & Out" policy) would be an additional 27¢ per day. And if you go the full 20 years that the Vanguard is designed for, that's 13.5¢ per day! That makes business sense.

This might not apply to you but it is worth noting.  Any trailer purchased from ILoca comes with a lifetime FREE FHWA inspection at our facility.  These need to be done annually and it is normally a $110.00 charge.  If you operate 20 trailers the math works like this...

20 trailers x 10 years x $110.00 = $22,000 potential savings over a ten year period.

Price is price.  Many others have decided to go with the cheapest way to build a trailer and that has resulted in the lowest price.  Vanguard has chosen to build a trailer with superior options to achieve a higher quality product and a longer life cycle.  Because of this, they have to charge more for their trailers.  There is no way around this.
